GILDING TECNIQUE

Gilding is very exciting decoration & restoration technique.
You can have golden or silver plated object or you can make a pattern with gilding on the object. Objects look like antique and luxury. You can use this technique on your wood, glass, ceramic or metallic object and also for decoration of houses. 
  
Material required: The object to decorate (even old one), main color (acrylic) , brushes, gold or silver leaves, gilding glue, metallic paints(gold , silver or copper), dimensional paint (gold, silver, copper), varnish(oil based)

Steps of work:

1. .Prepare the object as explained above

2. Paint the object in main color, leave to dry min. 20 minutes.

3. Apply the varak glue on to any part of your object then it will become gold or silver.

4. Let it dry until become transparent.

5. Take the varak leaves carefully (they are so thin, tearable ) put on the surface

fix with brush stamps (small touch).

6. Wipe with dry cloth.

. Varnish it two times with acrylic varnish. .Leave to dry 12 hours.

(If it is to be washed or used in the kitchen: you must use synthetic varnish &

Also varnish minimum 3 times. Wait for 12 hours for each varnish steps
